Our Work
Here are some recent projects from homes on Sanibel Island and nearby. Every job gets the same care and attention to detail, whether it’s a single built-in or a full renovation.
Pantry, Laundry and Entertainment Center Built-Ins, East End of Sanibel
For this east-end Sanibel home, ASI Contractors added custom cabinetry with warm butcher block tops to the pantry and laundry room, giving each space more storage and a clean, finished look. In the living room, we built a custom entertainment center with new cabinets, a shiplap feature wall and floating shelves, and we wall-mounted the TV with all the wires hidden.
From concept to completion. The homeowners used an AI design tool with a photo of their living room to describe the look they wanted, and it produced the mockup below. ASI Contractors then built it, matching the shiplap wall, white cabinets, floating shelves and butcher block top.
Coastal White Kitchen Remodel, Sanibel
ASI Contractors remodeled this kitchen from the ground up, building and installing the custom white cabinetry, countertops, appliances and a classic shiplap backsplash. The result is a bright, durable coastal kitchen made for everyday living and entertaining.
Sanibel Lanai Ceiling and Column Makeover
This Sanibel pool lanai had dated stucco columns and a ceiling with exposed plumbing. ASI Contractors framed a new ceiling to hide the plumbing and clad it in PVC panels and trim, then wrapped the columns in the same PVC. The finish is durable, easy to clean and never needs paint.
Exterior Stair Rebuild with Composite Decking
ASI Contractors rebuilt these exterior stairs with new structural stringers, clad them in low-maintenance composite decking, and finished them with high-end composite railings. Safe, sturdy and built to handle Florida weather.
Custom Shelving for Celebrer, Sanibel Island
Celebrer is a design studio and curated gift shop at The Village Shops, 2340 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. ASI Contractors built its drywall shelving, book shelving and the cedar shelving shown here, giving the shop beautiful display space for its products.
Deck and Chapel Upgrades for Riverside Retreat Center
ASI Contractors built a spacious outdoor deck for Riverside Retreat Center in LaBelle, FL, where Trailways Camps hosts adults with special needs. Built-in bench railings run all the way around, so the deck is ready for gatherings and outdoor events without extra furniture. We also gave the chapel new exterior doors and siding, worked with an electrician to add new exterior lighting, and installed new flooring and trim inside.
Angled Composite Lanai Deck, West Gulf Drive, Sanibel
This geometric, split-level octagon home sits just steps from the beach on Sanibel, and every angle of its lanai deck took careful planning. Before decking went down, ASI Contractors laid no-see-um screen over the joists so the tiny biting bugs can't come up through the boards once the lanai is screened in. We finished it in light gray composite decking, which stays cooler under bare feet in the Florida sun, and used breaker boards so every angled cut and seam looks crisp.
Custom Feature Wall Shelving with LED Accent Lighting
ASI Contractors designed and built this custom shelving wall, with built-in LED accent lighting that makes the space glow at night. Each shelf is cut and finished on site to fit the room exactly, so it looks like part of the house rather than an add-on.
Custom Shell-Washing Station for the Anchor Inn, Sanibel
Sanibel is famous for its shelling, so ASI Contractors built a custom shell-washing table for the Anchor Inn on Periwinkle Way. A stainless steel mesh top lets guests rinse sand off their finds after a day at the beach, and it holds up to salt, sun and constant use. It has become a favorite with Anchor Inn visitors.
Full Bathroom Renovation near Blind Pass, Sanibel
A leaking window had caused hidden water damage in this Sanibel bathroom near Blind Pass. ASI Contractors took the room down to the studs, repaired the damage, and installed a new window. Then we rebuilt everything, including a new tub, tile and vanity, for a fresh, watertight bathroom built to handle island humidity.
Custom Coffee Bar with Shelving and Backsplash
ASI Contractors built this custom coffee bar with made-to-fit shelving and a matching backsplash. It gives the morning coffee routine its own dedicated, good-looking spot, with room for mugs, machines and everyday essentials.
Raised Deck Replacement, Sanibel Island
This Sanibel home's elevated deck had rotted and was no longer safe. ASI Contractors demolished it completely and rebuilt it with all-new posts, decking and railings. Choosing Grade A pressure-treated pine over composite kept the cost affordable for the homeowner, and because the deck is the home's main way in and out, we worked quickly to keep the inconvenience as short as possible.
Bedroom Water Damage Repair with New LVP Flooring
After water damage, ASI Contractors brought this bedroom back to like-new condition. We repaired the drywall and trim, then installed new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, a durable, water-resistant choice that suits Florida homes.
Custom Cabinet Modification for a Built-In Wine Cooler
These homeowners wanted a wine cooler without replacing their kitchen cabinets. ASI Contractors removed a section of the existing cabinetry and custom-built a matching piece to sit above the new cooler. Then we reinstalled the crown molding and trim so it all looks original to the kitchen.
Powder Room Refresh in The Sanctuary, Sanibel
For this high-end home in The Sanctuary on Sanibel, ASI Contractors refreshed the powder room. We installed a new vanity, painted the room in a rich green, and hung the mirrors and artwork with care for a polished, gallery-style finish.
Insulated Shiplap Ceiling for an A-Frame Cottage at the Anchor Inn, Sanibel
At the Anchor Inn on Sanibel, ASI Contractors insulated one of the A-frame guest units to keep it cooler and more comfortable. We covered the insulation with a shiplap ceiling that follows the dramatic roofline, and the bright white paint finish gives the space a clean coastal-cottage feel.
Custom Tiled Kitchen Bar Top
This homeowner wanted a kitchen bar that stood out. ASI Contractors installed the tile they picked across the bar top and seating area, for a one-of-a-kind look that has become the centerpiece of the kitchen.
Composite-Clad Estate Gate, Sanibel
For this larger Sanibel property, ASI Contractors clad the entry gate in rich brown composite boards. The result is a striking, low-maintenance gate that stands up to the island's sun and salt air.
Hurricane Ian Whole-Home Rebuild, Sanibel Island
Hurricane Ian left this Sanibel home badly damaged, so ASI Contractors rebuilt nearly everything you see. Inside, we did a full remodel. Outside, we installed new siding, including board-and-batten detailing on the lower level, plus composite decking on the staircase with new railings, new doors and windows, and all-new exterior trim.
Roof Leak Repair and Ceiling Restoration
A roof leak had soaked this home's vaulted ceiling while the owners were out of town. ASI Contractors brought in a roofing company to fix the roof and managed the whole job for the homeowners. We replaced all of the ceiling drywall and insulation, finished cleanly around the skylights, and put every piece of furniture back exactly where it was.
Shower Rebuild Done Right After Hurricane Ian
After Hurricane Ian, this homeowner's shower was retiled by an out-of-area crew, and the poor workmanship left a hidden leak behind the wall. ASI Contractors tore it out, fixed the problem at its source, and rebuilt the shower with new tile the homeowner picked. Now it's watertight and built to last.
Custom Floating Kitchen Shelf
This homeowner wanted a place to show off decorative pieces in the kitchen. ASI Contractors built a custom floating shelf that fits neatly between the cabinets above the sink, adding display space and a personal touch.
Fish-Scale Tile Shower Remodel
This full shower remodel features small green fish-scale tiles, a pattern that takes real precision to install well. Our tile crew's attention to detail keeps every curve lined up and every grout line even, and it's a good example of the custom work ASI Contractors can do.
